Letters from India:
“I have been spiritually blessed by listening to your program Women of Hope (Hindi). I want to share about the book you had sent to me. I have read it and it has greatly
influenced my life and through it I decided to surrender my life to Lord Jesus Christ. I have accepted Him as my personal Savoir and Lord.”
“It is just by God’s grace that I could get connected to you. I am always eager to listen to
your Women of Hope program in the Oriya language. I am grateful for this program. There was hardly peace in my home. Previously there was a frequent clashing of opinions, but currently things are getting back to normal. I owe it all to your amazing program. Earlier my dad used to object to our listening to the program, but now he allows doing so. Furthermore, his faith has grown so much, that even if he or my mother gets sick he prays to the Lord…trusting Him for the required healing, and by His grace receives it.
Even though I have only been listening to this program for a while, it was only just recently that I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. I could not contain the joy of this new experience in Christ and wanted to share it with you all. The program continues to be a source of blessing for my spiritual life.”
“I am thankful to you for your program. It has opened my eyes to know the spiritual truths from the word of God. I am from a different faith and was doing all kinds of rituals which according to me was very spiritual. But after hearing the word of God I realized that having true relationship with God is what to be real spiritual. By the grace of God and through your prayers I could build an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I am now His child.”
Letter from Nepal:
“Praise the Lord and thanks to all the team of Women of Hope program. I am from Jhapa
district but now I am living in Butwal, Nepal. I really love this program because through the help of this program I am able to understand my real life. I used to think I was useless because I didn't have an opportunity to be educated and I don’t have good skills to survive. Now I am 31 years old and only a few months ago I got married.
I came to Butwal after my marriage. I was always depressed. My husband used to go to work early in the morning and the whole day I used to stay alone, which felt to me more lonely and sad.
There was a sister whom I knew. I used to visit her and told her all my problems. Then, she told me about the women’s radio program "Nari Asha". She has also accepted Jesus through this program. So, she inspired me to listen to the program. I started to listen to the radio program regularly. Slowly, I got a new inspiration and excitement in my life.
From the program, I came to know that God died for me and He had converted this useless pot into a usable pot. He has died for me, so that I can have eternal life and salvation. That's why He has given me this life. Also I came to know that I am so precious in God's sight. At the end of the program, it said that if you can't do anything else then you can pray for your family, country and neighbors. These words touched my heart and I started to pray heartily for this matter. I felt peace in my heart and I saw everything positive in my life.”
Praying for Women in India and Nepal

Domestic violence, cruelty to widows, dowry deaths, trafficking, rapes and abortions of girl babies are cultural practices that are destroying lives in India and Nepal.
It is estimated that between 5,000 and 12,000 Nepalese girls under 16 years old are sold into slavery in India, the Middle East, Hong Kong, China and other countries every year. Many are purchased by brothels to service over 30 men a day and are tortured if they do not. The few who return to Nepal face the memories of their horrible ordeal, rejected by their families that sold them or they struggle with diseases that ravish their bodies because of AIDS.
A 2011 TrustLaw danger poll ranked India as the fourth most dangerous place on earth for women. The survey said 100 million women and girls are involved in prostitution, and 50 million are "missing" in the last century because of female feticide and infanticide. A recent census showed the nation's gender ratio as 914 girls for every 1,000 boys under the age of six.
Despite the poor status of the majority of women in India, there are many who have overcome obstacles to hold important positions in the country, including that of the President of India (Pratibha Patil), CEOs of large companies, high ranking officials in the armed forces and government enterprises. In recent elections, more women than men voted. Pray with us that these leaders would become agents of change for the betterment of women and children all over the country.
When women and men speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, laws are enforced, lives are saved, criminals are punished and evil cultural practices are abolished.
